Booking Payment
Learn how TripCity processes payments, what cards are accepted, and what happens with deposits, late rentals, and incidentals.
Accepted Payment Methods
- The card you use must be in your name.
- We accept valid debit and credit cards.
- TripCity does not offer split payments or payment plans.
When You’re Charged
- Funds are collected at the time you submit a booking request.
- If the request is not approved or is cancelled, refunds are issued according to our Refunds Policy.
Deposits
- TripCity does not require a deposit for bookings.
- Some vehicle owners may choose to set a deposit at their discretion.
- Always check the vehicle description and confirm with the owner directly when booking.
Late Rentals
- If a vehicle is returned late, a $25/day fee applies.
- To avoid fees:
- Return the vehicle on time.
- Communicate with the owner immediately if you anticipate a delay.
- Owners can request their vehicle back, block extensions, disable the vehicle remotely, or report it stolen if not returned on time.
Incidentals or Outstanding Balances
- If you owe incidentals or late balances (fuel, tolls, tickets, or late fees), you must settle these before renting again.
- Future bookings will be blocked until your account is cleared.
