What Insurance Does TripCity Provide?
- TripCity provides liability coverage during an active rental.
- Once a renter books your car, our system automatically generates an insurance card in the renter’s name.
- This card is available for the renter to download from their dashboard.
- Renters can upload this card to any rideshare platform they work with.
- TripCity’s policy covers:
- State minimums for physical and property damage
- Up to $1M in liability coverage
- Deductibles (owner responsibility):
- $2,500 for vehicles valued at $55,000 or less
- $5,000 for vehicles valued at more than $55,000
Does TripCity Replace My Personal Insurance?
- No. TripCity’s policy does not replace your personal insurance.
- Owners must maintain full coverage insurance (liability, comprehensive, and collision) in order to list and rent vehicles on TripCity.
- Owners must also confirm that their personal insurance meets their state’s minimum requirements at all times.
- TripCity’s policy only applies during the active rental period.
