How Long Does Verification Take?
Learn how long it takes to get approved as a TripCity driver.
Standard Verification Time
- If everything is submitted correctly, verification takes up to 1 business day.
- Many users are approved within a few hours.
- For background checks, please reference 'My Profile' for approval or rejection status. If rejected, you cannot rent on this platform.
What You’ll Need
- Drivers: a valid driver’s license, a clear live profile photo, and a valid debit or credit card in your name.
- All users: a valid email and phone number for account verification. Any duplicate or shared accounts will be disabled.
Common Delays
- Your background check is still pending review.
- Blurry or obstructed profile photos.
- Expired, temporary, or unsupported licenses.
- Incorrect or mismatched contact information.
- Missing or incomplete documents.
- Using the same email for both driver and owner accounts.
Status Updates
- Once submitted, your account will show “awaiting review” while under review.
- You’ll receive an email and SMS notification once your profile is approved.
- Tripcity cannot speed up the approval process.
