Incidentals - Drivers

What incidentals are, how to view balances, and when you’re responsible for payment.

What Are Incidentals?

Incidentals are extra charges that may be added by the owner for items like fuel, tolls, or cleaning after your trip.

TripCity does not collect these charges on behalf of owners. Owners use the Incidental Tool to invoice you directly through your dashboard.

Viewing and Paying Balances

  • During an active rental:
    • You must pay any pending incidental charges before extending your rental.
  • After a rental ends:
    • You must pay any outstanding balances before submitting a new booking request.

Disputes and Documentation

  • If you believe an incidental is incorrect, contact the owner directly for more details or documentation.
  • TripCity may remove charges if:
    • The owner fails to provide proper proof, or
    • You provide sufficient evidence showing the charge is invalid.
  • All communication about disputes must stay within the TripCity platform.

Important Rules

  • All payments must be made in full to continue renting.
  • Failure to pay outstanding balances may result in your account being blocked from new bookings.
  • Falsifying claims or evidence can result in account suspension or removal.
