Overview
TripCity has partnered with ACC Consumer Finance to help long-term gig drivers transition from renters to owners. By using your rental payment history with TripCity, you can qualify to purchase a car with no impact to your credit score.

How It Works
- Start Your Journey
- Rent a vehicle for at least 180 total days with TripCity (can include multiple rentals).
- Get Pre-Qualified
- Visit ACC’s website, select a participating dealer, and complete the pre-qualification form.
- Choose Your Car
- Once approved, schedule a time with your local dealer and select your vehicle.
Note: All purchases are made through ACC’s dealer network. TripCity does not sell vehicles directly.

How do I apply?
Once you’ve rented for 180+ days, visit ACC’s website and complete the pre-qualification request. You’ll get a decision by email in minutes.
Who is eligible?
All drivers who have rented for at least 6 months (180 days) through TripCity. Your rental payment history is the key factor in approval.
Can I apply without renting?
No. The program is designed for long-term TripCity renters. Start renting to begin your path to ownership.
How is this program different from traditional lenders?
ACC exclusively finances gig economy workers. Instead of traditional credit checks, they focus on your rental payment history and gig earnings.
What type of vehicles are available?
- New or up to 3 years old
- Fewer than 30,000 miles
- Available only through ACC’s registered dealer network
Why do I need to connect my bank account through Plaid?
Plaid securely verifies your rental payment history and gig earnings digitally, so you don’t need to provide manual proof.
If I buy a car, can I work for any gig company?
Yes. Once purchased, you may use your car with any gig platform.
Do I need to put money down?
- ACC requires 5% cash downpayment.
- Some vehicles may qualify for rebates that reduce this amount.
Can I put $0 down?
No, 5% is required, but rebates may help offset it. Ask your dealer for details.
Is this a purchase or lease?
It’s a vehicle purchase. Leases are not available.
What will my payments be?
Payments are made weekly, not monthly. The exact amount depends on the vehicle you choose.
