Pay Your Balance Over Time with Klarna

Overview

TripCity now offers Klarna as a payment option for eligible drivers with outstanding balances or active rentals that have become overdue.

Instead of paying your entire balance upfront, Klarna may allow you to split your payment into installments, depending on your eligibility and the payment options available to you.

You can also use Klarna if you are currently in an active rental that is in a late status, helping you catch up on overdue rental charges without necessarily paying the full amount upfront.

Once your payment is successfully completed through Klarna, your eligible TripCity balance will be considered paid, and you'll continue making your scheduled payments directly to Klarna.

What Balances Can Be Paid with Klarna?

Klarna can be used for eligible:

• Outstanding incidental charges
• Past-due rental day balances (late days)
• Overdue rental charges while you are still in an active rental

If you have both incidental and late rental balances:

1. Incidentals must be paid first.
2. Late rental balances must then be paid.

Both balances must be resolved before you're eligible to book another vehicle, provided your account otherwise remains in good standing.

Using Klarna During an Active Rental

If you're currently renting a vehicle but your rental has become late, you may also be able to use Klarna to pay the outstanding rental charges.

This allows eligible drivers to:

• Catch up on overdue rental payments.
• Continue an eligible rental by completing the required payment or extension.
• Avoid having to pay the entire overdue amount upfront, depending on Klarna approval.

Important: Using Klarna does not automatically extend your rental or change your scheduled return date. Your rental must be successfully extended through TripCity to update its status.

You remain responsible for communicating with the vehicle owner and returning the vehicle on time.

How to Use Klarna

Step 1: Log In to Your TripCity Account

Review your outstanding balances.

• Incidental charges appear in your account banner.
• Outstanding late rental balances appear when attempting to book another vehicle.
• Active rentals in late status may display eligible overdue charges when completing a payment or extension.

Step 2: Select Klarna

When Klarna is available at checkout, select Klarna as your payment method.

Step 3: Verify Your Information

You'll be redirected to Klarna to review your eligibility and available payment options.

All information submitted to Klarna must match your TripCity account details.

This includes your:

• Full legal name
• Billing and personal information
• Other identifying details requested during verification

You cannot apply for Klarna using another person's information or have someone else apply on your behalf.

Using another person's name, identity, or personal information is not permitted, even if that person agrees to make the payments for you.

Your Klarna application must be completed using your own information associated with your TripCity account.

Step 4: Choose Your Payment Plan

If approved:

• Review the payment options available to you.
• Select the payment plan that works best for you.
• Review any applicable interest, fees, and repayment terms.
• Complete the transaction through Klarna.

Once the transaction is successful, TripCity will consider the eligible balance paid.

Future installment payments will be made directly to Klarna according to the payment plan you selected.

Your rental must still be properly extended through TripCity. Completing a Klarna payment alone does not automatically update your rental end date.

What happens after Klarna pays my TripCity balance?

Once Klarna successfully processes your transaction, TripCity considers the eligible balance paid.

You will then make your remaining installment payments directly to Klarna according to your selected plan.
