Review Moderation Guidelines

How TripCity reviews work, how to leave them, and what to do if you want to dispute one.

Why Reviews Matter

  • Reviews build trust between owners and drivers.
  • They help future renters and owners make informed decisions.
  • Consistent reviews improve marketplace transparency and accountability.
  • Maintaining a positive rating (4–5 stars) is important for staying in good standing.

How to Leave a Review

  • Reviews can be left at the end of every completed rental.
  • Both owners and drivers are encouraged to leave feedback.
  • Reviews should reflect:
    • Communication quality
    • Vehicle condition
    • Timeliness of return or handoff
    • Overall rental experience

Review Moderation Rules

TripCity enforces consistent standards for reviews:

  • Reviews must be honest, respectful, and relevant to the rental experience.
  • Reviews containing the following will be removed:
    • Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or personal attacks.
    • Irrelevant content unrelated to the rental.
    • Explicit or abusive language.
    • Attempts to manipulate ratings (fake reviews, self-reviews, or retaliatory reviews).

Disputing a Review

  • If you believe a review violates TripCity’s guidelines, you may request a review through support@tripcity.com.
  • Provide:
    • Your Trip #
    • The review in question
    • A brief explanation of why it violates guidelines
  • TripCity will investigate and may remove or edit the review if it breaks moderation rules.

Note: Reviews that are negative but factually accurate will not be removed.

Best Practices for Owners and Drivers

  • Always leave a review after each rental.
  • Be factual and respectful in your comments.
  • Use reviews as a way to improve your future rental experiences.
  • Remember that reviews help maintain trust and safety across the platform.
