Review Moderation Guidelines
How TripCity reviews work, how to leave them, and what to do if you want to dispute one.
Why Reviews Matter
- Reviews build trust between owners and drivers.
- They help future renters and owners make informed decisions.
- Consistent reviews improve marketplace transparency and accountability.
- Maintaining a positive rating (4–5 stars) is important for staying in good standing.
How to Leave a Review
- Reviews can be left at the end of every completed rental.
- Both owners and drivers are encouraged to leave feedback.
- Reviews should reflect:
- Communication quality
- Vehicle condition
- Timeliness of return or handoff
- Overall rental experience
Review Moderation Rules
TripCity enforces consistent standards for reviews:
- Reviews must be honest, respectful, and relevant to the rental experience.
- Reviews containing the following will be removed:
- Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or personal attacks.
- Irrelevant content unrelated to the rental.
- Explicit or abusive language.
- Attempts to manipulate ratings (fake reviews, self-reviews, or retaliatory reviews).
Disputing a Review
- If you believe a review violates TripCity’s guidelines, you may request a review through support@tripcity.com.
- Provide:
- Your Trip #
- The review in question
- A brief explanation of why it violates guidelines
- TripCity will investigate and may remove or edit the review if it breaks moderation rules.
Note: Reviews that are negative but factually accurate will not be removed.
Best Practices for Owners and Drivers
- Always leave a review after each rental.
- Be factual and respectful in your comments.
- Use reviews as a way to improve your future rental experiences.
- Remember that reviews help maintain trust and safety across the platform.
