Troubleshooting: Account Creation or Re-Connection
Fix common issues when signing up for a TripCity account.
Duplicate Email
- Each TripCity account must have a unique email address.
- If you want to sign up as both a driver and an owner, you must create two separate accounts with different emails.
- If you see “email already in use,” try using another valid email address.
Verification Emails or SMS Not Received
- Check your spam or junk folder for the verification email.
- Make sure your phone number and email are entered correctly.
- Wait a few minutes, then request a new verification code.
- Disable any spam filters that may block TripCity messages.
Profile Photo Rejected
- Photo must be clear and well-lit.
- No hats, sunglasses, or items blocking your face.
- Use a recent smartphone for the best image quality.
- Blurry or obstructed photos will delay approval.
License Upload Issues
- Upload a valid driver’s license.
- TripCity does not accept temporary, international, paper, or permit licenses.
- Make sure the photo is high-quality and shows the entire license.
Other Tips
- Use the latest version of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
- Clear cache and cookies if pages fail to load.
- Try both desktop and mobile web if sign-up isn’t completing.
Why Am I Being Rejected for Rideshare?
If your rideshare verification was rejected, review the following common reasons:
1. Inactivity
-
To be approved, you must show gig platform activity within the last 60 days.
-
Inactive or dormant rideshare accounts will not be approved.
2. Using Someone Else’s Account
-
You must only use your own rideshare and TripCity accounts.
-
Using another person’s account or shared logins will result in rejection.
