Owner Requirements and Vehicle Eligibility
What you must maintain to list and rent a vehicle on TripCity.
Owner Requirements and Acknowledgments
As a vehicle owner on TripCity, you are required to maintain your own insurance at all times.
You agree and acknowledge the following:
- You must carry an active personal or commercial auto insurance policy at all times.
- TripCity insurance does not replace your primary insurance.
- If you select TripCity Collision and Comprehensive coverage, you must also carry Collision and Comprehensive on your own policy.
- If you fail to maintain required insurance, TripCity will not provide coverage, and any related claim will be denied.
Liability Coverage Limitations
- TripCity auto liability coverage applies only during the active rental period.
- Coverage provides state minimum liability limits only, as required by law.
- No PIP, MedPay, UM, or UIM coverage is included unless required by state law.
Storage and Catastrophic Event Limitation
- If a single event damages multiple vehicles stored at one location, the total payout is capped at $300,000 per location.
- Storing vehicles at different locations helps reduce this risk.
