1. Sign up.
2. Complete your profile by providing your driver license, profile photo, and verify your rideshare account.
3. Once your account is complete, you can request any vehicle in your area by going to "Find a Car" and providing your location.
4. Review the vehicle details including price, mileage, minimum rental duration, location, and even message the owner in advance.
5. At the time of booking, a hold will be placed on your card. Once the owner approves the booking, the payment will be processed.
6. Coordinate with the owner for preferred pickup time and location. When the owner confirms pickup, your insurance and rental documents will be provided in your account and your rental will begin.
Drivers must be 21 years of age with a clean driving history. You will provide your driver license for our system to verify. If you are a rideshare driver, you need to connect your gig accounts under your TripCity Profile to get verified.
Your own insurance is not required.
While in a TripCity rental, we require that all renters use our insurance to ensure proper coverage under our policy. Renters may not use their own insurance.
TripCity charges one simple fee: the daily Renter Platform Fee, which includes insurance coverage. The vehicle owner sets the daily or weekly rental rate, which is paid upfront. You can extend your rental as long as the owner approves.
TripCity does not require a deposit, but vehicle owners have the option to set one at their discretion. Be sure to check the vehicle description and confirm with the owner directly.
Registration, insurance, and the rideshare inspection are provided at the time of pickup. Once the vehicle owner confirms pickup, these documents will be uploaded to your TripCity account.
Simply save them, go to your rideshare account, select “Add Vehicle,” and upload the documents to get the vehicle approved within minutes.
Contact the owner immediately to inform them of the incident, file a police report, and notate everything that occurred during the accident.
No, only the driver on the rental agreement is allowed to use the vehicle.
Please communicate with the owner as soon as possible if you are running behind. It is your responsibility to be caught up on payments. The owner reserves the right to take necessary action to retrieve their vehicle. Failure to comply can lead to additional penalties or being banned from the platform.
Owners will receive a notification of your rental request via email and sms. We recommend booking with advance notice to give the owner time to respond and have the vehicle ready for you. You may use the chat feature in your dashboard to send them a direct message.
No, this is not allowed. You will have to book a separate rental for the service you would like to use.
Please communicate directly with the owner and document any occurrences for your owner's personal records. Anything related to the vehicle is handled directly between the driver and owner.
No, Tripcity does not offer credits, however, any adjustments that are needed to be made on the rental must be approved directly by the owner and administered through Tripcity.
Please communicate directly with the owner of the vehicle as most vehicles have mileage restrictions.
Please make sure the usage of the vehicle you booked is for rideshare and you uploaded everything correctly directly with the rideshare app.
The process is quick as long as you have submitted all the required documents and have taken clear photos. You will receive a notification once your profile has been approved.
Each owner listing has a different mileage allowance for the rental. Please review the marketplace and view their description prior to booking.
Depending on your banking institution, refunds can take up to 5-10 business days.
